Breeding program

We breed for working ability first. Health, temperament, and field performance guide every decision.

Our breeding philosophy

We breed for working ability first: drive, marking, water work, and biddability. Every breeding is planned with health, temperament, and field performance in mind. We do not chase trends—we build dogs that hold up in the marsh and in the home.

Standards

All breeding stock is health-tested (OFA or equivalent, eyes). We select for proven field titles (HR, MH, FC, AFC) and real-world performance. Temperament is non-negotiable: our dogs must be steady, trainable, and suitable for active families.

Process

  1. Inquiry and discussion of your goals (hunt, trial, both).
  2. Review of available studs and bitches; pedigree and health summaries.
  3. Application and deposit to hold a slot.
  4. Whelping and early socialization at the kennel.
  5. Puppy selection and go-home with support for the life of the dog.
